Escape to Chalkida
Chalkida is built on both sides of the Evripos Strait, with one part of the island being located in the island of Evia and the other in Central Greece. On the mainland side of the hill of Kanithos dominates the Venetian castle of Karampampa which, together with the bridge of Euripus and the unique phenomenon of changing the direction of the waters every 6 hours and in between an hour of stagnation ( Euripus Tide ), are the most important features.
